PRESENT SIMPLE

  • when the situation now makes us believe sth is going to happen in the near future

WILL

  • when we decide to to sth at the time of speaking /spontaneous situations/

 

A: I´ve left the door open.      B: I´ll go and shut it.

  • with : probably, I expect, I think, I am sure, I wonder

  • agreeing to do sth

  • when we are talking about the activities that will be happening in the future at the exact time

 

I will be watching TV at 7 o ´ clock tomorrow

 

  • when we ask about somebody ´s plans, especially if you want sth or want them to do sth

 

Will you passing the post Office when you are out? I need some stamps.

 

FUTURE PERFECT

  • to say that sth will already be complete in the future

 

We are late. The film will already have started by the time we get to the cinema.
