1. How does season influence clothes?
Clothes have always been important for people. In ancient times mainly because they protected people against cold, frost or rain, then later with the development of society clothes became an important sign of people´s social status. They became more comfortable and were made from finer materials. Their cut and design became important too.

In previous centuries women´s and men´s clothes were totally different and one could recognize a person´s sex from a distance. Women wore long skirts, long-sleeved dresses, long hair and even veils, so much of their body was concealed. Men´s clothes did not differ very much from today´s time – men wore trousers, shirts and jackets as they do now. Children´s clothes followed their parents´ patterns.

The revolution in clothing began in the second half of the 19th century with the start of the industrial revolution and the invention of the sewing machine that led to the mass production of clothes. Ready-made clothes were cheap and lower social classes could afford to buy new clothes more often.

In the 20th century people´s clothing changed rapidly. The two sexes now have more in common and it may be quite difficult to distinquish a person´s sex from a distance because hair is very often the same lenght, trousers have become a necessary part of women´s wardrobes and men wear scarves, earrings and other fashion eccessories.

People have various attitudes to fashion. For some it is vital to be dressed in the latest fashion, they follow fashion magazines, go to boutiques and are ready to spend a lot of money to be sure they wear the best brand name. Others prefer comfortable clothes, not necessarily the latest design in which they feel good and would never pay a lot of money for an item of clothing that would not last more than one season. Whatever our attitude to fashion is, we all need to have different clothes to wear every day, and even something special for special occasions.

A woman´s wardrobe usually consists of underwear (knickers, bikini briefs, bras, slips, stockings), pyjamas or night dresses, dressing gowns (bathrobes), skirts and blouses, jumpers and cardigans, several pairs of trousers and jeans, jackets, one or two tailored suits, an anorak, a winter coat, a fur coat and accessories in matching colours, e. g. shoes, boots, handbags, scarfs, gloves, hats and jewelleries, sucha s earrings, rings, arm bracelets. A woman´s summer wardrobe consists of bright summer dresses of various cuts and designs, shorts and T-shirts, miniskirts and swimming suits (swimsuits, bathing suits, swimwear). For special occasions women wear cocktail dresses of long evening dresses, high-heeled shoes and jewelleries, usually gold or silver necklases and chains, brooches, clip-on earrings or hoop earrings.

Men´s wardrobes are much simpler and more conservative, not changing over the years as mucha s those of women. A man´s wardrobe consists of underwear (undershirts, underpants), several pairs of socks, trousers and pile of shirts, several suits, an anorak, a trench coat, a raincoat and a winter coat. Men also wear accessories in matching colours like shoes, boots, ties,
gloves, hats or caps, belts and henkerchiefs. For special occasions men wear dark suits, a white shirt, shoes and a tie or a bowtie and sometimes even a dinner jacket.

If people go to sport events they mostly wear jeans and T-shirts, or track suits and trainers (sneakers, athletic shoes), anoraks or parkas. At home people prefer casual clothes like old jeans, slacks, loose T-shirts and mules(clogs) or slippers.

Dressmaking has become a big business these days. Fashion designers are world famous best earning fortune selling their designs all over the world. The most popular are Calvin Klein, Kenzo and Donatella Versace.

In Kuwait men wear long robe and cloth covering the head. Women wear similar clothes and they wear a veil.
The Swedish usually dress well in public and wear bright colours. In Sweden the winters are very cold, so overcoats and ski jackers are very common. Men wear business suits for work with a shirt and a tie and women often wear trousers. Children and teenagers wear blue jeans and T-shirts.
Traditional dress in India for women is the sari and for men the achkan suit. Men wear long shirt and loose trousers on less formal occasions. Indian people wear lighter colours, and at funerals, white is the usual colour to wear.

2. Clothes and accessories on special occasions

Accessories – shoes, boots, handbags, scarfs, gloves, hats, caps and jewelleries (earrings, rings, arm bracelets), belts and henkerchiefs.

But now I do not like this fashion, because this is not my style. I like ordinary clothes. Now fashion is very affected and complicated. And fashion turn back to old period.
My choosing of clothes depend on price at all. But I choose according to comfort, coulour, material and how it looks like.

3. What do you do if you need to buy new clothes?

I never need new clothes, because I buy clothes oftener then I need. Sometimes when is special occasions I need new clothes. I like shopping with my friend because she like the same fashion as I. When I go to shopping with my mother, she is very tired and she always complain that hers knees hurt. And when I go to shopping with my boyfrien, he complain that I do not know to choose right cloth quick.
There is not very good shops in Trnava, but I like shopping in new cheap shops like simba, groš, etc. But if I would go to Bratislava it would be too expensive.
