Description of favorite book character

Holden Caulfiel is the main character and narrator from the book “ The catcher in the rye” written by J.D. Salinger.

He´s 17 years old student. He is very sensible, sensitive and grown-up. He has several grey hairs, which uses for getting alcohol. On the one hand he hates entire world and every single person in his surrounding but on the other hand he loves his little clever sister Phoebe, older brother D.B. and younger brother Allie who died of leukemia few years ago.

He is typical teenager trying to adapt to society. But he´s intellectual and many things become weird and unexplainable for him and that makes him unique.

He has constant problem with persisting at one school, he isn´t very good student, He has bad marks and results overall. Sometimes, he behaves too much adultly: he smokes lot of cigarettes drinks alcohol and uses vulgarisms.

He has remarkable aversion for movies and actors. He criticizes everything around him and he´s very moody what has an impact on his opinions – he changes them very often. All in all, he is very interesting character and he attracts me because of his pesimism and way he sees the world.
