Consumerism is an inseparable part of our life and shopping belong to it. Majority of people go shopping daily. Weekends are not an exception. Our society depends on shopping and people can not imagine  that shops would be closed at weekend. So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of shops being open at weekend?

There are some of advantages to shopping at weekend. Firstly, you imagine that shops would be closed at weekend and you suddenly something need. For example ingrediences for cooking or whatever. What would you do? Nothing. This is the main advantage of this. Also, shops offer discounts and special offers to us, so we can buy goods for better price what save our money. 

On the other hand, there are some disadvantages to shopping at weekend. To start with, many families spend a lot of time in shops or malls. They go there for „trips“ . They walk around racks of goods infinitely. This is their way of spending common time instead of visiting museum or going to the cinema together. Another disadvantage touches employees. They have to also work in late night hours at weekends and have minimum salary. They are also people!

To sum up, shopping at weekend is very useful in this century, but there are also disadvantages. I think that shops should be open only in Saturday to afternoon. This can be solution for employees and better family life.
