Healthy way of life

Every of us would like to be fit, healthy, slim and full of energy. But many people go an unhealthy way of life. Bad nutrition, lack of sports activities and exercise in the open air, lack of contact with nature, negatieve emotions are the reasons of unhealthy way. This people suffer cancer, diabetes, cardio-vascular diseases in many countries.

Newspaper, magazines, web sites and TV programs are full of advices how to achieve (dosiahnuť) a physical and psychical balance. It has become very popular to be good-looking and eat healthy food. Visits of fitness centres and regular exercises are nowadays very usual. But people often forget that more convenient (vhodný) influence to our organisms has natural movement (pohyb) on the fresh air. I think that we need spend less time training indoor and more time in nature, doing for example gardening or playing outdoor games.

Most of day we are sitting on the chair and we have to be concentrated to work. Although our mind is under continual (nepretržitý) pressure (tlak). But we aren’t computer or machines. Everybody needs a rest. However, a lot of people after coming at home from a work sit down, turn on a TV and they are always watching it into the evening. I don’t consider (považovať) it a good idea like to have a rest. Maybe sleeping an hour could be accepted. But after that is needful to do something what doesn’t need a hard thinking. Doing something funny. Hobbies are a great possibility to reduce stress and enjoy life. We would spend more our free time in the nature, do sports with friends, play with children. These activities help us to abreact.

And what about food? I would like to offer you a magical circle: eating healthy food and exercising makes you slim, being slim and attractive makes you happy and healthy. Your body need well-balanced healthy diet. You would supply it with proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

  • Proteins are necessary for building hormones, enzymes. We get them in milk, eggs, vegetables, fruits and in rice, nuts and cereals.
  • Carbohydrates are energy. Starch and sugar are carbohydrate food. They are present in fruit (natural sugar), vegetables (potatoes), milk, honey and sweets (unhealthy sugar).
  • Fats are the main source of energy. They regulate necessary chemical proceses in our body. Animal fats in large amounts can be dangerous. Plant fat is more healthy. It is present in nuts, plant oil and pulses.

Our food should contain: 80% of carbohydrates; 10% fats and 5% proteins.

Our organism is a self-contained (samostatný) system which would work like a complex. If all aspects will be in balance, everything is OK. So correctly balanced nutrion, do sports in the open air and keep in harmony with natural principles are parts of the mosaic which is called a healthy way of life.
