Family is very important for everybody. It consists of a mother, a father (parents) and their children. They usually live together in one home. Functions of a family are education, protection and help.

My name is Peter. I was born on 30. 4. 1996. I am single. In my family there are my mother, father and brother. My father's name is Peter. He is 45 years old. He works at Old Herold in Trenčín. My mother's name is Andrea. She is 40 years old. She works at Tesco in Beckov.

I have a younger brother. His name is Radoslav. He is 15 years old. He loves playing PC games and football. My parents are friendly, democratic, strict and good. My grandparents are alive. I love my grandparents too. They live in Melčice. We all live in a family house in Melčice-Lieskové.

We share housework in our family. My mother cooks, cleans and washes up. My father is responsible for shopping for food, cleaning the car and taking care of the garden. I help my parents with cleaning the house, garden work and cleaning my car. Our family has three cars.

I have the best relationship with my parents and grandparents. I like my uncle the most because he is funny and nice to me. The head of our family is my father Peter. He is very clever, friendly and hard-working. We usually meet at birthdays, Christmas and Easter. We are a large, happy and functioning family.
