HOUSE

– it is a two or more storeyed building lived in by one or more families

– the tradition is to have bedrooms upstairs

TERRACED HOUSE

– it is a house built in a row or joined on the others to form a street or a square or a circus as an architecturally designed unit

SEMI-DETACHED HOUSE

– two houses joined together by one common wall and probably with common chimney stacks

– a house attached to on eother

DETACHED HOUSE

– it is a house standing by itself

FLAT

– it is a unit on one floor

– as a rule lived in by one family, forming part of a large block of flats

BUNGALOW

– it is a building of one storey only with or without a verandah

COTTAGE

– it is a villager´s small dwelling or a small country residence

CHALET – horská chata, zrub

– a holiday home

– normally found in the mountains

TENT

– a moveable place to live made out of material J

MANSION

– a large country house

CARAVAN

– a moveable place to live on wheels
