1, Communication is direct or indirect.

2, Direct communication happens in real time when participants communicate face to face, eye contact, gestures and body posture.

3, Indirect communication means that senders and receivers of information don´t see each other. They are telephones, letters, posters, songs and pictures.

4, Modern types of communication are skype, ICQ, twiter, e-mail, facebook.

6, Using foreign languages helps us communicate with people abroad, make new friends or meet business partners. We learn about other countries and their cultures. We are happy when we read texts in a foreign language, understand songs and watch films without subtitles.

Some children learn Englinsh or another foreign language from a very early age. There are children, who are raised in bilingual families. This mean that they have two mother tongues. English, German, Spanish, French and other foreign languages are taught at secondary schools.

Students at secondary schools take a final exam in one foreign language. The final language exam tests language skills, sucha s listening comprehension, reading comprehension, writing and speaking.
