Culture and art are very important in people’s life. For some it is hobby for some profession. There are many kinds of culture and art: architecture, literature, film, music, fine art and theatre.

In (small towns and) villages there are not many opportunities for cultural life as there are in big cities. Some villages have a community centre or a clubwhere sometimes people have discos or balls.

If people who live in a village want to see a film or a theatre performance, they have to travel to the town or a city. If they don’t want to travel, they can watch a film on TV or they can borrow a video and watch it at home.

In a big city there is usually a better choice of cultural life than in a small town/village. In a large city, you can go to cinema or to theatre where you can see different kinds of performance for example a drama, a comedy, an opera or a ballet. You can also visit galleries, museums or concerts. So I think that people who live in a city can enjoy a cultural life more than people who live in a villages.

The most favorite kinds of culture for many people are music and film. People prefer watching television, DVD or video as going to the cinema. It is because cinemas are expensive and at home it is more comfortable, you can invite your friends and you can watch what you want. But there is also some people who love cinemas, for example me. With music we come into contact during our whole life. People listen to music at work, at home, in car also in shops. Music is everywhere. There are many kinds of music: country, classical, popular, jazz, and folk. My favourite kind of music is popular.

My favourite kind of culture is cinema and my favourite kinds of art are music, literature and photography. These kinds of culture and art makes me happy. I can´t imagine my life without it. For example I listen to music every day. I do it all the time. I do it when I am home and I also do it when I am in school. Then, I love books. I still feel good when I read someone good. I like romantic stories and drama. With my boyfriend we often go to the cinema. It´s very nice spending our free time. And a photo is a memory. It´s something strong. I love photography. Without it we could forget.
