There are INDOOR and OUTDOOR sports and games:
Outdoor sports and games – they are practised outside, these sports are for example golf, running, hiking or tourismus, cycling, football

Indoor sports and games – they are practised inside and they can be practised all year, these sports are for example: table-tennis, gymnastics, bowling, ice hockey, chess

There are also SUMMER sports, WINTER sports and ALL SEASON´S sports and games:
Summer sportsand games – they are practised in summer, often on water, these sports are for example: swimming, windsurfing, athletic, beach volleyball

Winter sports and games – they are practised in winter on ice or snow, these sports are for example: ice – skating, figure – skating, ice-hockey, snowboarding

All season´s sports and games – it´s games which could be practised indoor and outdoor, too. These sports are for example: volleyball, handball, basketball

Extreme sports: In these sports people look for speed,danger and fun but on the other side they risk their lives when they do these sports. These sports are for example: Bungee jumping, sky surfing, ice-daving (potápanie pod ľadom, jump with parachte (skok s padákom?).

Typical American sports and games: baseball, american fotball, basketball, tenis, wrestling, boxing, ice-hockey

Typical sports and games in the UK: football, rugby, golf, tennis (Wimbledon – the most famous tenis tournament every year)

Me & sport:

My the most favourite sport is figure skating. When I was a little girl I always want to be a figure skater. It´s something amazing for me. I still watching it in television and on the Internet sometimes. I have my favourite figure skaters. There are Carolina Kostner, Julia Lipnitskaja and Stefan Lambiel. I´m their big fan. I love it and I never miss any championship in television. My dream is to see this beauty on ice to live.

I also do some sport. For example I like riding a bike, walking, hiking, because I love nature and for fun I like play football and badminton.

Sportsare one of the most popular activities in free time. It´s good for us, important for us. Sports help us to be strong, healthy and keep our body in good physical and mental condition. Sport is fun, the way how to spend our free time, if we do sport we can stay slim or we can loose weight if we are overweight and sport improve our immunity system. It´s good for our heart too. It´s the way how to meet new people, new friends.

There is so many people who don´t like sport. They don´t do sport for many reasons for example they have no time, they have too much work, they are lazy, they have bad health condition or they haven´t place where they can do sport in their willage (or town).

The difference between sport and games: Games are played by at least two players (games are play two and more players) and sport can do only one person, like individual.

Sports in my country (Slovakia): In my county these sport games are popular: football, ice-hockey, cycling, volleyball, tennis. In summer volleyball and football are popular. In winter ice-hockey, skating and snowboarding are popular because we have long winters. Ice-hockey is very popular in Slovaki. Our hockey players won a gold medal and also the international cup in the past. A lot of Slovak players play in American and Canadian National Hockey League teams (NHL).
