DORMITORY – BOARDING HOUSE: building with many rooms for students, pros and cons of living in dormitory – nearby school, with friends, learning together, waking up not so early, cons: less privacy, not your own room, not everything as at home, rules – to switch off the light at 10 pm., with more people in one room – no time to learn, travelling home for only a few days, out of family for years, learning to be independent
OUR HOUSE, DREAM HOUSE, MY ROOM
IMPORTANCE OF HOME FOR ME: place where live my family, where I want to return every time, special atmosphere, feeling well, memories, my childhood
LIVING IN TOWN: PROS: more opportunities to live cultural and sport life – shops and shopping facilities, cinemas, theatres, better possibilities to find a job, more privacy in a big city, more schools, universities. CONS: smog, noise because of high traffic, less nature, disadvantages also higher pollution, street crime
LIVING IN VILLAGE: PROS: Fresh better air, big garden, possibility to plant your own trees, vegetable plants and to have pets, more space to live in a detached house, calmer place than city, not such traffic, more place to play for children, growing up in nature. CONS: People know each other, bad transport possibilities and bus connection with town nearby, not so many shops, longer way to get to the job.
WAYS TO HAVE HOME: building on your own, to have it build by company “on key”, to buy already built house, to buy flat and just to bring furniture and do some small rebuilding or changing, to rent a house or flat, living in hotel…
TIME CHANGES IN HOUSING: in primeval ages in caves, in Middle Ages castles and chateaus, then houses… nowadays
