Mysteries and reality
The world is all covered by a curtain of mysteries. This curtain adds a magical feeling to life around us. For us, it is hard to understand, enlighten and most importantly believe what mysteries bring with them. Many people have, during the ages, witnessed things, which are beyond the understanding of an ordinary person.
Science and religion both tried to explain what is behind some of the most famous mysteries that became legendary, but without any meaningful results. Speaking of famous mysteries, plenty of people get the shivers when they hear about the infamous Bermuda Triangle. Bermuda Triangle is located in the western part of the North Atlantic Ocean, where a number of aircrafts and ships are said to have disappeared under mysterious circumstances. The opinions of scientists vary when it comes to, the so called, Devil’s Triangle. Popular culture believes that the various disappearances are the result of the paranormal activity caused by extraterrestrial beings. What you might find ironic is that in 2013 study of the World Wide Fund for Nature identified the world’s 10 most dangerous waters for shipping, the Bermuda Triangle was not included, and so, the insurance companies do not charge higher premiums for shipping in this area.
In a close hinge after the Bermuda triangle are crop circles. These circles thank the movie industry for the fame it has brought to them. But the circles have more in them, then one would say from the first look. The first crop circle was recorded in 1966, when an Australian farmer claimed to see a saucer-shaped spaceship rise up from the field before flying away.
From then on, people started to believe that what farmer saw, was an optical illusion, some dared to say that he was on drugs; eventually the official report said that it was only a hoax. Years later, in 1991, two men from Southampton, admitted they had been creating hoax crop circles for 15 years. They could make the patterns using rope, hats and wire and could create a 40-foot circle in a few minutes. The mysterious story again follows the trend of the Bermuda Triangle and so ends with a happy ending. Because, one of the men who spent their spare time making crop circles still publicly demonstrates the art.
Even after these experiences, people being part of esoteric industry say that the forces putting higher powers in to movement are something that cannot be seen by human eye, cannot be heard by human ear and cannot be understood by a simple minded person.
The witness of a mystery usually meets with an embarrassing respond from the society. Not depending where, how, when and why the mystery happened, one question always finds the way to our minds and settles in it. Do we not close our eyes before something bigger and more powerful than us? The question, of course, remains unanswered, which even dramatizes the atmosphere, surrounding mysteries happening all over the world. We should not have the tendency to judge someone in advance, before hearing what he has to say. There still are dozens of unexplained mysteries in the world, but without our effort they will remain in the same state.
The two examples of mysteries hopefully managed to bring up the magical feeling I was speaking about in the beginning. In my eyes the beauty of a mystery, is that, it cannot be logically explained, nor understood.
