Family is a social unit, consisting of a mother, father and children. To family include our grandparent, aunt, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephew and another member too. They share certain goals and values and live together in a one home. Family is the most social group. A functioning family has a strong relationship between its members.

On the world are very different families. The wedding is a formal act, where the engaged couple exchange husband and wife. Some couples get married, only when babies appear. For example:

No biological – parents. Orphans and abandoned children grow up in orphanage and foster home, were they get love from non biological parents and siblings. Charity organizations search parent, for to adopt children. Adopting is a very long process, depends to age, financial situation, relationship and living conditions.

I know family, where parents are divorced. Parents often meet new love and they wedding or when death of one of the parents and children have a usually single parent. Bad relationship with step- parent and sibling often in frequent arguments.

Family is a social unit, but home is a place, where I and my family live. Family fulfils different functions, for example emotional, economical and biological. Home is place, where our house is built. Home is place, where I and my sister Lucy grow up. Our home is organized. All family members have specific social roles with duties and responsibilities. Domestic chores, such as cooking, shopping, cleaning, wash up dishes are assigned only to woman. Their mums often become their servant. Man some help with little chores, such as cutting the garden, cleaning the car and taking out the rubbish. Some men decide to stay at home with their babies on maternity leave. Some family celebrates occasions, for example birthday, graduations, weddings, christening, confirmation, church feast and funerals.

My father is Milan. He is forty – four years ago. He is warehouseman in Gemerská Hôrka. His domestic chores are cutting the grass and cleaning our car. My mum is Monika. She is forty – five years ago. She is a secretary on Statistical office. Her domestic chores are washing up dishes, cleaning and taking out the rubbish. My sister is Lucy. She is twenty – one years ago. She is a student on Pedagogic University. Her domestic chores are cleaning and taking rubbish. My domestic chores are cleaning, taking rubbish and care of cat.

Very interesting member in my family is my father. He is talented. He plays the piano, the guitar, the drums and the mount organ. He is a super. My future family will big. We will live in big house with big garden. He will very modern.

A family, a real home and relatives are what we need for life. They always help us when we need them.
