Endangered species in Slovakia

You can find many kinds of endangered animals and plants in Slovakia. I have picked two which are so endangered that no one probably ever heard of them. Of course, I have, and I also happen to have photos of these species.

This is a sad smiley apple. It was very common during the middle-ages, but for years people sought them for their great taste, which is very different from normal apples, until they became nearly extinct. The apples are also rumored to have healing effects, curing cancer and AIDS. The last man reported to have eaten them is Chuck Norris, and we can tell from his abilities that he’s not lying. The apples grow on small trees (see picture taken in Chuck Norris’ living room).

Snowy camels are camels which came here from Africa when they got bored of all the sand. They have adapted to our environment by changing color to a more snowy one, so they are not an easy target for predators, like the Yeti. You can find them in the High Tatras or in caves all around Slovakia. They are usually shy, but sometimes come near humans, because they love pizza. Poachers take advantage of this, setting up pizza traps in the mountains. Their fur is very valuable.
