People need a job because they have to earn money for themselves and their family. They want to achieve something in life. People in the work meet new people. This way we don´t only earn money but also find our place in society, spend time with people and feel useful.....

Reasons for changing the job -the low payout, away from home, bad boss, annoying colleagues

Process of finding a new job -reading advertisements in newspapers, ask friends and family if they know of any work, attend courses, you can go to a job centre or to an employment agency and ask for help

– when you find a job advertisement, you have to contact your future employer and find out if the position is still free. If it is, you have to write a CV. After that you should prepare for the job-interview

If you are looking for a job, you should find out these informations: What is the working time? What is the salary ? What are my duties, responsibilities? When would you need me to start?

Describe different types of jobs. Name various job categories.

1.) Physical work: a mechanic, a plumber, a carpenter, a builder, a miner, a fireman, a hairdresser

/these people need physical power, energy and stamina. They are specialized, education is at low level, for example builder, carpenter, farmer, fireman, butcher, miner. Some need special skills, for example waiters, cookers, watch-makers, shoemakers, hairdressers, car mechanics -they work in services, industry and agriculture

2.) Mental work: a lawyer, an architect, an accountant, a designer......

/they need high education, they are also better paid. And they don’t need physical skills, for example manager, officer, accountant, teacher, health care, judge, lawyer, politician

From the point of sex there are typical jobs for men like truck driver, car mechanic, soldier, miner…and typical jobs for women like nurse, tailor, teacher – they have to be patient and reliable. Some women are in traditional jobs for men (police, army) and also men are in traditional women’s job (chef, designer)

Fireman quenches the fire, teacher teaches students, policeman respects the law and protects people, barman serves drinks, driver is driving taxi

Dangerous jobs: miners. It is a dangerous job because miners can easily get injured or even killed in a mine. I think that firemen, policemen and rescue teams in the mountains have dangerous jobs too because they often have to risk their lives to save other people.

Jobs which require special talent or character traits: for some jobs you need to have a special talent and determination. People like artists, photographers, designers and journalists can’t be successful if they are not talented. You need to have a good imagination, fantasy and a lot of creativity

Slovakia is a country with relatively high unemployment. Unemployment in Slovakia is around 12%. It isn’t because the slovaks would not want to work. The reason is lack of good jobs. Therefore the people of these regions are more to work abroad

People go to work abroad, because there are more chance of finding jobs. People will get more money and improve in language
